Submission Standards
Pineywoods Press publishes literary, contemporary, and speculative fiction with an emphasis on restraint, tone, and emotional precision.
We are interested in work that is controlled, voice-driven, and attentive to the quiet architecture of character and atmosphere.
Submissions are currently limited and selective.
Please include:
– A brief cover note with a synopsis, word count, and any relevant comparative titles.
– The first 10–20 pages, or the complete manuscript for shorter works, as a PDF.
All submissions should be formatted in 12pt Source Serif 4, Georgia, or an equivalent serif font, with 1.15 line spacing. This is for clarity and ease of reading on both screen and page.

Submissions that disregard these standards may not be read.
Pineywoods Press is not currently seeking high-concept commercial fiction or work driven primarily by plot over voice. We are looking for work that knows what it is and does not apologize for it.
